Azuki Introduces ‘BEANZ’ to Their NFT Ecosystem
Granting holders exclusive access to a holder-only Discord channel, collectible drops, and more.
The popular NFT collective Azuki formally introduced their latest companion collection, “BEANZ“, in a tweet earlier on Tuesday, April 19.
Introducing BEANZ: a small species that sprout from dirt in the garden. Being a sidekick is in their DNA, although some like to kick it alone.

In the same thread, the brand gave some hints as to what the “BEANZ” might be used for and what utility they may bring to their holders, saying that Azuki owners can pair them with their NFT or have them act as stand-alone tokens. It was also mentioned that “while owning an Azuki will always provide the highest level of experience in the garden, BEANZ holders receive access to a holder-only Discord channel, merch/collectible drops, and more.”
The brand hinted that the “BEANZ” can be used as a canvas for collaboration with artists and added that they might make good “collectible toys.” The project also alluded to a possible Ledger collaboration as the red bean pictured in the thread is using what looks like a custom Azuki-branded Ledger as a skateboard.
The brand has an extensive “mindmap” (roadmap) which it is steadily making progress on across streetwear collaborations, metaverse activations, or lofty goals of forming a DAO and deploying its own token $BEAN. The company also previously fractionalized its Azuki NFT #40 called “Bobu” and turned it into a governance token.
In other news, AMC Theatres now accept Shiba Inu, Dogecoin and other cryptocurrencies.
