Deadfellaz Announces a New Play-To-Earn Trading Card Game

The blockchain game represents the start of the brand’s plans of multiple interlinked gaming and media IPs.

Popular non-fungible token (NFT) project Deadfellaz has announced its “Deadfrenz Road Map 1.0” (DFZ). The map highlights the primary plans for its new DFZ IP (intellectual property), which will be a play-to-earn (P2E) NFT trading card game.

The blockchain-based trading card game is said to underpin the brand’s ongoing plans for multiple interlinked DFZ gaming and media IPs.

Initially, the P2E offering will come as a tactic and story-driven blockchain-based trading card game. It is also mentioned that the game will be developed in partnership with top, proven, blockchain TCG developments team(s). The mechanics or gameplay will be developed in partnership with card-based game consultants. As for the cards themselves, there are plans for them to be created in partnership with industry-leading art and narrative teams.

Founders Betty and Psych mentioned in the announcement that the game experience will “introduce the DFZ universe to the public and community through story-based events, gameplay, pack releases, and individual cards/characters.” The gameplay is noted as being tactical, with each card’s stats, and power being linked with a specific “species,” trait array, and rarity. While none of the partners for the project have been named yet, details will be announced in the coming weeks.

This latest offering from Deadfellaz comes just a little over a week after its announcement of signing with United Talent Agency (UTA) –which also manages CryptoPunks and Meebits NFTs. The UTA partnership was big news for the NFT brand, which has been in the space a little under a year now, and has seen over $81M USD in secondary sales as well as 6,200 unique holders to date.

In other NFT news, Solana NFTs continue to rise in popularity.
