Mighty Jaxx Releases All New 2022 'AllStars F1 Collectors’ Phygital Figures
Each physical figure comes with an integrated NFC chip for authentication and access to digital experiences.
Mighty Jaxx is back with another season of their popular AllStars Phygital (physical and digital) collectible figures. This time the brand will be releasing a lineup of the official 2022 Formula 1 (F1) drivers. The public sale of these collectibles opens today, Thursday, April 21, at 9:00 am ET.
The collection features drivers like Louis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, Valtteri Bottas, and more. Each driver will have this season’s official race suits and a removable team emblem. The figures are crafted in partnership with YARMS design studio and stand 8” in height. Single driver collectibles are available for $159 USD and team bundles of two drivers are priced at $318 USD, customers who chose the team bundle will also receive complimentary commemorative prints.
What makes Mighty Jaxx collectibles unique is their Xtended Xperience feature, this is where fans can digitally authenticate their collectibles, gain access to gamified offerings, showcase their pieces and customize digital displays. The authentication process is made possible by the brand’s tech solution partner Forreal, which specializes in near-field communication chips (NFCs.) These chips are embedded into all Mighty Jaxx Phygital collectibles and can interact with the brand’s app on any NFC-ready smartphone.
While the Formula 1 collection pieces do not use non-fungible tokens (NFTs) technology, Mighty Jaxx has released NFT collectibles in the past and could potentially do so again in the future. Back in November 2021, the brand partnered with the VeVe, a non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace to release a limited run of collectibles on their platform during Dcon. With these continued releases, Mighty Jaxx has positioned itself to uniquely provide technology-centric collectibles that will further bridge the gap between the digital and physical worlds.
