Cinemark Partners With Disney and VeVe on ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ NFT
Offering fans the chance to win one of 1,000 exclusive NFTs.
One of the biggest movie theatre firms, Cinemark Holdings Inc., has partnered with Disney in honor of Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Love and Thunder” movie premiere to offer fans the opportunity to win an exclusive non-fungible token (NFT).
Cinemark has also partnered with VeVe, an app-based marketplace for licensed digital collectibles. Users can visit their Cinemark rewards page once a day for a distinct pin that will be needed to enter the sweepstakes. Winners of the daily game will be presented with a code redeemable at the VeVe website, granting lucky fans the opportunity to become owners of a digital token.
Veve’s website features a new beta payout feature, allowing select users to “cash out” digital funds directly into a bank account as fiat (e.g. USD). VeVe’s projects include some of the biggest films like “Batman,” “Star Trek,” “Jurassic Park,” and “Fast and the Furious.”
Similar to AMC Theatres’ participation in the growing NFT space, Cinemark also seeks to provide its most loyal fans with the “chance to win unique digital collectibles to celebrate this exciting moment and epic film.” Cinemark previously had success with VeVe after launching the first-ever NFT movie tickets for the premiere of the James Bond film “No Time To Die” in October.
The instant-win game is available now on Cinemark’s app or website through July 7. Fans can enter daily to win one of the 1,000 rare NFTs before the movie’s premiere in theaters on Friday, July 8.
In other news, lawyers airdropped an NFT to a hacker to serve them with legal documents.
