Shopify Adds NFT Integrations to Its Platform

Allowing users to explore the use of limited-edition merch drops, discounts, and more.

Leading eCommerce and retail solution company Shopify announced that it will soon be launching NFT integrations to its platform. These new offerings will allow for tokengated experiences, giving retailers the ability to provide a more exclusive and customized interaction with consumers.

Shopify is not new to the world of Web3 and has previously collaborated with several NFT brands like Adam Bomb Squad, Invisible Friends, World of Women, Cool Cats, and more. Currently, the platform has an ongoing partnership with Doodles, in March, the two offered an immersive physical and digital experience at SXSW.

“As an ambitious community-driven project, we’ve placed a strong emphasis on setting the standard for unique NFT collector experiences,” said Doodles Co-Founder Evan Keast, adding that “by partnering with Shopify on tokengated merch, we surprised our holders and gave the ownership of a Doodle a whole new meaning.”

Shop owners now have the ability to list NFTs from popular blockchains like Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, and more directly to storefronts. Other integrations include the ability to share products directly to a Twitter feed, increasing community reach, engagement, and conversion.

Elsewhere in Web3, University of Cincinnati is set to offer crypto education programs.
