A sustainable water option sourced from pure springs in Mount Shasta California.

Ape Beverages first emerged in the NFT space with some teasers and co-hosted events during the most recent NFT NYC and is now ready to launch its very first product, Ape Water.

The beverage marks what is considered to be the world’s first Web3-native water brand and is coming to the market with the goal of commercializing NFT intellectual property (IP).

To kick things off, the beverage company will soon be offering Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) holders the opportunity to license their individual IP, to have their Ape featured on cans that will be sold nationwide.

Some users on Crypto Twitter have hunches that other NFT projects might also have the opportunity to have their tokens featured, based on a tweet the company put out in August — which is likely the case based on this statement from the brand’s recent press release.

“Ape Water speaks not only to the BAYC community but the Web3 and digital art space as a whole in expanding possibilities of how to unlock the value and utility of NFTs through the innovative use of IP.”

The water itself is sustainably sourced from California’s Mount Shasta, is made up of a 2:1 calcium to magnesium ratio, has a natural alkalinity pH of 7.5, and is FDA, SQF, and California Spring Water approved and certified. Additionally, the lifestyle beverage is also Kosher and For Life certified.

Looking towards the future, Ape Beverages plans to offer more than just refreshing drinks, through exclusive content and IRL opportunities for its consumers. The first of such offerings is made possible by the brand’s extensive canning capabilities, which allow for one-of-one customizable collectibles for partnerships.

Ape Beverages and its soon-to-be distributed Ape Water is yet another example of the power and benefits that can come from leveraging NFT IP — especially those with a loyal fan base like the BAYC.
