Blockchain RPG "ChainGuardians" Debuts Metaverse Streetwear Fashion At NYFW
Showcasing “phygital” fashion on the runway inside its exclusive metaverse.
As many fashion-based brands have just begun experimenting inside the metaverse for NYFW, ChainGuardians brought its blockchain gaming expertise into the world of fashion connecting its P2E gamers with streetwear-styled clothing. The limited-edition collection combined characters from the player-driven platform with stylish designs to create an entire line of virtual and physical items.
ChainGuardians displayed “digital twin” fashionable pieces in its Runway Show, presenting wearable garments for real-life attire and playable avatars inside its virtual world, known as the Cryptoverse. The Runway Show also highlighted the NFC technology used in its exclusive collection, allowing for NFT holders to interact with its garments.
This marks ChainGuardians’s first fashion venture, with its complete streetwear collection backed by NFTs.
“We believe it is not enough to just bring fashion into the Metaverse, it is time to create a bridge that delivers the vast utilities of the Metaverse directly into the fashion world,” said Emma Liu, CEO, and Co-Founder of ChainGuardians.
Liu, who began her blockchain journey through crypto mining, seeks to utilize her passion for fashion to seamlessly transport newcomers into the Web3 space.
“I believe blockchain is the future. There is so much potential still waiting to be discovered,” said Liu during Nolcha Show’s Fashion Metaverse Economy panel.
As a trailblazer in blockchain gaming and NFT minting, ChainGuardians showcased its virtual reality area where Hypemoon immersed inside of its metaverse and engage with the brand’s digital products.
Additionally, ChainGuardians’s Nolcha Shows exhibit included an AR activation where Hypemoon was able to digitally try on the clothing line that was debuted by the models on the runway.
As Web3 begins to inspire the fashion community, ChainGaurdians expands its virtual ecosystem beyond P2E gaming, bringing it into the physical world with its new wearables collection.
As an early adopter in the space, Liu and her team have also provided their expertise and funding toward smaller projects looking to navigate their own way into Web3.
