OREO Enters the Metaverse With Limited Edition Cookie ‘The Most OREO OREO’

OREO, the world’s most popular cookie, has recently announced that it is making its way into the metaverse

The step into the virtual world comes with the release of a new limited-edition cookie, “The Most OREO OREO,” and the reveal of the “OREOVERSE,” an interactive digital realm where fans can take part in a variety of experiences and activities.

To kick things off OREO invited famed cookbook publisher and media personality, Martha Stewart. While an expert in her own field, Stewart is new to the metaverse, making her exploration of the space an authentic first-time experience.

Joining her in the live stream explorations that will take place on OREO brand’s socials is Stewart’s long-time friend and Head Gardner Ryan McCallister.

“I am excited to make my metaverse debut in partnership with one of my favorite cookie brands, OREO, and having Ryan there with me will make it all the more fun,” Stewart shared, adding that “the two of us had our fair share of adventures over the last 10 years and have been able to navigate just about anything together, especially in the garden!”

The experience is set to be held in Meta’s Horizon World platform and has already gone live – users can explore the OREOVERSE using their Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro headsets, or through supported mobile devices and desktops.

Visitors are encouraged to participate in a variety of different cookie-themed games, with eligible participants having the chance to win up to $50,000 USD in prizes.

For those wanting to tune into Stewart’s exploration, the live streams will begin on January 30, at 10:00 am ET on OREO brand’s Facebook and Instagram channels.

The brand aims to roll out its new cookie the same day, with The Most OREO OREO being available for a limited time at select retailers.

OREO says that the cookie is its “most playful to date,” featuring two chocolate-flavored base cakes, packed with “Most Stuf” levels of creme, and for the first time has OREO grind mixed in.

OREO’s Senior Brand Manager, Julia Rosenbloom shared that “the Most OREO OREO cookie gives fans a whole new way to playfully engage with us. By scanning the pack, they will ‘dunk into’ the new OREOVERSE world.”
