Degen Toonz to Strengthen Chinese Community with 'Little Red Book' Partnership
The social application, regionally known as Xiaohongshu boasts over 200 million active users and is one of the countries leading lifestyle platforms. The collaboration highlights an increasing move to attract international audiences as regulatory pressure grows in the U.S.
Degen Toonz has just announced a partnership with Xiaohongshu “Little Red Book” (LRB), one of China’s leading lifestyle platforms. The partnership comes as part of the social platform’s push into the growing NFT market and with over 200 million active monthly users is a big move for Degen Toonz as it looks to expand its international collector base.
One facet of the partnership includes access to LRB’s in-app digital collectibles platform “R-Space”, which will allow Degen Toonz holders to display their avatars on a range of use cases, including the main feed and user profile pages. This aspect of the app aims to enable holders to showcase their NFTs and further build community.
Welcome to Xiaohongshu R-SPACE Family! Sharing the same pursuit of aesthetics, R-Space and Degen Toonz will definitely achieve a win-win partnership.

Degen Toonz is known for its charismatic pop culture design and highly ambitious team, which has helped it stand out despite turbulent market conditions in 2022. Before the partnership, the brand has already garnered a large international collector base, including holders in China, with content from the project producing high user engagement on LRB.
This partnership builds on LRB’s existing integrations of bluechip PFPs like BAYC, CryptoPunks, Azuki, Doodles, CloneX, and more, which have enabled users to connect with a larger audience and open access to a wider range of projects. LRB’s growing role as a destination for users to display their virtual assets is set to appeal to a large number of NFT enthusiasts and provide opportunities for creators to monetize their work.
Additionally, the application allows users to connect and verify their assets through means that do not require any active wallet connection or contracts to be signed, something many Web3 participants have become wary of as a result of hacks, scams, and more. LRB has posted a step-by-step guide for how to connect using this method.
In a recent Twitter space, Kirin, LRB’s manager of R-Space and head of its Web3 project Hot Neutro Studio, shared that the lifestyle app first noticed the increased interest in NFTs from its user base in 2021 and has since worked to provide tools for virtual spaces, creation of NFTs, and more. He added that “we’re very happy to make this announcement with Degen Toonz because they are also building a lifestyle brand.”
Outside of the community and creative opportunities found on the app, the partnership also represents a bigger move in the Web3 space, particularly by U.S.-based projects and brands.
When exploring any NFT project on Discord that has a bit of popularity or traction, you’ll often notice a variety of international chats, with the Chinese chat usually making up the largest portion of these. While this is opinion based, the move to attract and appeal to Chinese collectors is likely coming as China begins to loosen digital asset regulations and as the U.S. begins to tighten them — making for an ideal opportunity for both parties.
Whatever the case may be, brands like Degen Toonz go to show that digital assets have no borders and that they are meant to be enjoyed, utilized, and held by a global collector base, and that with the right partnerships, anything is possible.
