With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, Web3 culture studio and fashion label, Probably Nothing, is teaming up with authentic Mexican soda brand, Jarritos, to celebrate with a fun digital and physical collectible offering, featured on the homepage of OpenSea.

The two are launching “fourteen-twenty-three”, a new NFT collection commemorating Valentine’s Day. The collection consists of 14 digital collectibles developed from curated artwork inspired by Mexican culture, combining the old with the new and the physical with the digital, to deliver a fun twist on the holiday.

The NFTs include skulls, hearts, alebrijes (folk art creatures), and other classic elements central to Mexican culture, with shared creative direction from Jeremy Fall, creator of Probably Nothing, and the creative team at Jarritos.

The artwork blends Jarritos’ rich, historic Mexican heritage with Probably Nothing’s Web3 cultural lens, providing a modern take on the Valentine’s Day candies that have become an iconic symbol of the holiday.

Holders of the “fourteen twenty-three” NFTs will have a limited opportunity to redeem exclusive merchandise created by the two brands, including a jacket, an alebrije toy, and a physical print of the NFTs.

To redeem these physical collectibles, holders must burn either two, seven, and ten of their tokens starting February 17th, with 48 hours to burn. The number of NFTs burned will determine the collectible claimed, with options to receive a physical print, an alebrijes toy, or a Jarritos x Probably Nothing  jacket — requiring two, seven, and ten tokens respectively.

Speaking on the personal significance of the collaboration, Fall said “I grew up in downtown Los Angeles, drinking Jarritos and eating from local taco trucks. I’ve always loved how authentic Jarritos has remained to its brand and how in tune with the culture they are. Everything they do feels exactly the same as it did when I was a kid, despite their exponential growth. Collaborating on this project was really exciting and meaningful.”

The NFTs will be available to mint on OpenSea for a period of 48 hours only, starting on February 14th at 8am PST.
