Web3 domain provider Unstoppable Domains announced its partnership with one of the largest U.S.-based crypto exchanges, Binance.US, on Wednesday during Consensus 2023 in Austin, Texas that will soon allow users to mint their Binance.US domains on Polygon, according to a press release shared with Hypemoon. 

Launched in 2018, Unstoppable Domains is a next-gen domain provider and digital identity platform that enables people to come into Web3 by first taking full ownership and control of their online identities. 

With more than 3.4 million Web3 domains already minted on Unstoppable, the platform’s customers can now use Binance.US to send and withdraw crypto to any Unstoppable domain – including their “.crypto,” “.nft,” and “.x” domains.

As part of the launch, premium 2-letter and 2-digit Binance.US domains will be available, marking the first time that Unstoppable has ever issued 2-letter domains.

In this case, the domain name would read something along the lines of “name.binanceus.”

Unlike traditional domain providers, which require owners to pay a fee in order to renew their domain, blockchain domains like Unstoppable, don’t require users to pay renewal fees or gas fees, in addition to falling outside the scope and governance of ICANN.

These domain names, which have been commonly utilized throughout the NFT community, allows individuals to replace those lengthy alphanumeric crypto wallet addresses that nobody can ever possibly memorize (or remember) with a customizable, readable name that allows them to log into and transact with third-party apps, wallets, marketplaces, and exchanges like Binance.US.

Turning to management and custody, Unstoppable says that all .BinanceUS domains will be custodied by Unstoppable under Binance.US’s management, with the domains exclusively available on the Binance.US app.

Beginning on Friday, Binance.US customers will be able to search for and buy their domain name of choice in the Binance.US app.
