Agoria Celebrates Two Years in Web3 with a Song That Grants NFT Holders Royalties
While royalty offerings have existed in the space for some time, this song from Agoria is a gift to his community and is designed to entitle them to 100% of the royalties produced by the track for years to come.
Sébastien Devaud, better known to the Web3 world as Agoria, is a French electronic record producer, composer, DJ, and digital artist exploring Biological Generative Art.
As part of his latest experiment in the space, Agoria is exploring a crossover between his music and NFTs, as he celebrates two years as a digital artist.
In partnership with Web3 music platform Bolero and the artist’s music distributor Believe, Agoria plans to release a track dedicated to his collectors and titled after their namesake, “{agorians}” — will see 100 percent of the royalties redistributed to eligible holders, including Tezos and {Comp-nd} collections as well as one-of-ones.
While royalty offerings have been made in the Web3 space before, usually through the purchase of an NFT, this soon-to-be-released track differentiates itself by being a gift to the community and the size of the distribution.

In a word with Hypemoon, Agoria shared various inspirations behind the experiment, with the primary being his “love of the community!”
Further sharing how it all came to be, the artist said “I had such an incredible journey the last two years! One of my collectors, Niwin, started to use the word ‘agorians’ and it has been organically adopted by all. It has federated all kinds of collectors. From the most wealthy to the younger ones.”
Agoria explained that the majority of his collectors come from the fine art space but that he also has a variety of collectors from various Tezos and SuperRare drops. The artist shared that his collection with Ledger, {Comp-nd}, has been responsible for onboarding a large number of crypto natives.
Most recent collectors include newcomers, veteran artists like OSF, and Web3 companies like The Sandbox — representing a broad variety of support across the space.
The artist shared that the {agorians} track is just the beginning, stating that he sees “collectors becoming more and more confident in fine art as the main utility. Many lost a lot of money in collectibles with companies selling fake utilities while dumping on them. So I’m trying to rebuild a long-term confidence relationship in NFTs with art being the center of the experience.”
One of the primary goals for Agoria is to create an “organic and healthy family,” as he believes “a true and authentic base of art addicts will switch the mindset of many and who knows might even virtuously create value.”
As for the track itself, {agorians} was created to be a club anthem, which the artist has already begun to play samples of at parties and according to him, has been well received.

“I wanted it to be melodic and also ‘hands in the air’ vibe, a positive anthem,” shared Agoria.
He explained that “we can hardly anticipate the success of a song, which makes every release magical. But from a long term perspective, it could be an amazing gift. Holders will benefit from syncs from movies, commercials, and more,” he said adding that “the great news is that electronic music seems timeless.”
Giving an example of this, Agoria shared that “last week my ten-year-old track ‘Code 1026’ was requested for a Netflix series and a theatre movie. My music is like wine! Better to open it after a few years lol!”
“As another example, Prada contacted me to synch my tune ‘la onzieme marche’ ten years after it had been released,” explaining that “hype can happen at the time of the release or years after, there are no rules.”
Although the royalties aspect provides “utility” to collectors and the artist mentioned this is just the beginning, he also expressed in a recent tweet that there will be no road map, stating “I’m sorry, I’m an artist, not a financial project marketer who will ruin you. Not trying to sell any fake utility that will never happen. But I’m building solid projects that will help us all grow together. I hope my art will make you feel better.”
Continuing the conversation with Hypemoon, he shared that “what I’m trying to say here is that when you invest in art and an artist’s career, you shouldn’t expect a quick return. You are part of their history and by this process, you create also your own legend! That’s the beauty of Web3.”
However, despite not placing a priority on short term gain, Agoria’s collection {Comp-nd}, which was trading at a price of $10 USD three months ago, is now at a floor price of just over .12 ETH or nearly $220 USD.
For general FAQs and extended details on the experiment, please see the artist’s most recent thread and for those eagerly awaiting the track, it is set to release June 7, marking the exact date of Agoria’s two-year anniversary.
